SERVER RULES & OFFENSES

Server Rules

1)  Be respectful towards other players and staff members.

2)  No mixing of In Character information, Out Of Character

3)  Racism will NOT be tolerated.

4)  No spamming of any kind, such as commands, excessive messages, all Capital letters. Repetitive messages that have been said more than three times.

    This also applies to ALL channels/chats available on the server. From newbie chat, advertisements, submitting in-game reports.

5)  Staff members have the final word in any situation. If you feel it is a mistake, submit an appeal and DO NOT bother the staff in game if the situation was resolved.

6)  No Server Advertising of ANY kind. (i.e. Discord Invite links, Websites, IPs)

7)  Use proper grammar and spelling to the best of your ability. This is an English speaking server.

😎 No foreign languages of any kind in global chats (/b and In Character chat are global) Either whisper and/or PM that player

9)  Do NOT ask staff to become staff of any kind, this includes becoming a Helper and above.

10) Do NOT report for an Admin AGAIN if you had a situation resolved or have an issue with a certain Admin. If you have an issue with an Admin ask him to find another Admin that is available.

 

Server Offences

All offences listed below in this thread are not limited to the examples provided. Be sure to read the description, in its entirety as it has been provided. Examples have also been used but that is no excuse for anyone to misinterpret or redefine the offence described. Any failure to understand or follow the Offences will result in punishment, with the varying punishments associated with the Server Rule being broken.

The punishments may be issued at the discretion of the staff, repeat offenders may be severely punished. If you feel you have been punished wrongly, you may appeal it using the appeal forum.

 

 

METAGAMING (MG)

Metagaming is defined as, but not limited to using Out-of-Character (OOC) information In-Character (IC), including acting on OOC knowledge of IC events, mixing Out-of-Character and In-Character chats, or using abbreviations/acronyms as In-Character speech.

Examples

A player's phone number and name for IC purposes can also be considered MGing if the other player didn't acquire it IC'ly.

Abbreviations/Acronyms consist of, but are not limited to, lol, wtf, btw, ftw, u, etc.

DEATHMATCHING (DM)

Deathmatching is defined as, but not limited to attacking a player in any way without a proper in-character reason and/or attacking a player in any way with little/insufficient/no roleplay. 

Examples

Admins shall not prison someone for deathmatching unless they witness the incident.

If an admin did not witness the accused performing the deathmatch, the complainant shall submit a player complaint.

Even if you have RP reason to attack the player, if you do not roleplay sufficiently, you can be punished.

KILLING ON SIGHT (KOS)

Killing on sight is defined as, attacking a player in any way with a proper in-character reason but with insufficient roleplay or no roleplay at all.

Examples

Binds that produce roleplay are not considered sufficient roleplay. Admins shall not prison someone for killing-on-sight unless they witness the incident.

If an admin did not witness the accused performing the killing-on-sight, the complainant shall submit a player complaint.

/me shoots Johnson. is insufficient roleplay- Even if you have RP reason to attack the player, if you do not roleplay sufficiently, you can be punished.

Weapon Restriction

 

Revenge Killing (RK)

Revenge Killing is defined as, but not limited to killing another player because they, or someone associated with them killed you.

Examples

When you die, you lose memory of all events leading up to your death.

Under no circumstance can a player return to an ongoing roleplay event until 30 minutes have passed.

If the player’s HQ is where the roleplay event is occurring, they must not attempt to interfere with the roleplay but may return to the HQ area.

Responding to backup calls upon respawning at a hospital WILL BE CONSIDERED RK.

Punishments

Powergaming (PG)

Powergaming is defined as, but not limited to forcing roleplay that directly impacts another player, or roleplaying god-like/superhero abilities or utilizing impossible futuristic technologies.

Examples

Any action directed at a player (that could be reasonably prevented) requires a /do unless the player agrees otherwise. Any action not

directed directly at a player does not require a /do if the roleplay is physically possible. If the opposing parties are realistically able to interject they can do so via /me or /do.

A civilian is sitting in his car pulled over on the side of the road and a police officer uses a crowbar to pry open the trunk. A /do is not required by

the officer because the player is not in a position to interject. If the civilian wishes to interject they must do so on their own.

A person is able to, within the rules, shoot their victim. They type out the /me and roleplay properly. In this case, the shooter does not need to use

a /do to ask if shooting the victim is possible, since the firing of the bullets can not be reasonably prevented.

Non-Roleplay Behavior

Non-RP Behavior is defined as, but not limited to acting in a manner that is deemed unrealistic or non-roleplay, including ramming your vehicle into a player/object excessively, car surfing, unwarranted taunting/interruption of law enforcement, not valuing life, etc.

Examples

Not Valuing Life example:

Someone is robbing you at gunpoint. While being held up, you run to your car and drive away.

Riding in the back of a pickup truck or a short bed with more than 4 people is also Non RP Behavior and considered car surfing. Driver will also be punished as well.

Verbal and/or Account Warning

 

Robbery (Outside of Limitations)

Robbery is defined as, but not limited to any scenario in which one or more players targets another (group of) player(s) as a means to maliciously obtain something.

Examples

Limitations for robberies are as follows:

The robber and the person being robbed must be above level 3.

Robberies must not be initiated at hospitals or newbie spawns.

Robberies must not be used as an excuse to kill someone. If the victim complies with the robbery, they must not be killed.

You and/or your party must not rob the same individual more than once per 48 hours.

Players must not be robbed for currency or other assets valued higher than $10,000.

If complying with robbers, players being robbed must turn over demanded currency or asset valued up to $10,000. Otherwise, the player(s)

being robbed are subject to punishment under “Non-RP Behavior”.

Fine of Maximum Robbery Limit ($10,000)

 

Scamming Over the Limit

Scamming Over the Limit is defined as, but not limited to scamming or attempting to scam any player of currency or other assets valued higher than $10,000.

Punishments

OOC Prison up to 1 Hour

Account Warning

Fine of total wealth to 5 times amount scammed (t 5 * x, where x = amount scammed, where t = total wealth)

 

Healing in an Action Scenario

Healing in an Action Scenario is defined as, but not limited to the use of any healing method during an action scenario you are actively involved in.

Examples

You are a police officer engaging a criminal in a gunfight. You are shot by the criminal and retreat to your car/HQ to heal, vice versa.

Punishments

OOC Prison up to 1 hour

Fine of 10% of total wealth

 

Quick Swapping (QS)

Quick Swapping is swapping your weapons (scroll up and down )to avoid reloading animation.

Punishments

OOC Prison up to 1 hour

Fine of 10% of total wealth

 

Crack Shooting (CS)

Crack Shooting is using crouch© to cancel the animation of shooting and have the ability to shoot faster.

Punishments

OOC Prison up to 1 hour

Fine of 10% of total wealth

 

Chicken Running (CR)

Chicken Running is running in zigzags to avoid getting shot.

Punishments

OOC Prison up to 1 hour

Account Warning

 

Spamming

Spamming is defined as, but not limited to sending lines of text rapidly with the intent of disrupting an orderly environment of roleplay

Restricted Roleplay

Restricted Roleplay is defined as, but not limited to any roleplay that can be considered highly offensive or obscene. Examples of restricted roleplay are as follows:

Examples

Sexual Assault (Rape, molestation, etc.)

     - All parties involved and/or witnessing must give OOC consent

Pedophilia

      - Under no circumstances whatsoever.

Necrophilia

      - All parties involved and/or witnessing must give OOC consent

Terrorism

      - Must be approved by HA+

 

Punishments

OOC Prison up to 2 hours

Fine of 50% of total wealth

Account Warning

Two Week Ban (staff discretion)

 

Bullying and/or Harassing

Bullying or harassing - Bullying or harassing is defined as, but not limited to, players who persistently harass or bully another player/staff,

particularly if it is of a serious nature such as encouraging another player to commit suicide.

Six (6) Month Ban

 

Trolling

Trolling is defined as, but not limited to, players who intentionally disrupt the game server or roleplay activities.

(e.g. a parade event is taking place and you disrupt the event by ramming people with your vehicle at the event.)

OOC Prison up to 1 hour

 

Toxicity

Toxicity is defined as, but not limited to the act of which presenting toxic behavior towards any person or towards the community proper shall not be tolerated.

This includes but is not limited to insulting other people or the views that they share, and off-topic posting to share negative comments/opinions.

There is a fine line between being highly critical towards someone or something and simply being toxic towards a person or the community

Punishments

OOC Prison up to 2 hours, based on severity of comments made.

Out-of-character only (“IC” toxicity need not apply)

 

Pausing to Avoid

Pausing to Avoid is defined as, but not limited to pausing your game to avoid roleplay, death, or harm.

Punishments

OOC Prison up to 1 hour (or Maximum IC Prison time, if avoiding police)

Logging to Avoid

Logging to Avoid is defined as, but not limited to disconnecting from the server to avoid roleplay, death, or harm.

Examples

OOC Prison up to 1 hour (or Maximum IC Prison time, if avoiding police)

Use of /kill to Avoid

Use of /kill to Avoid is defined as, but not limited to abuse the /kill command to avoid roleplay.

Offenses Against Administration

 

Impersonation

Impersonating is defined as, but not limited to deliberately impersonating an administrator, player, faction/gang leader or retired administrator etc.

Indefinite Ban

Fine of Total Wealth 100%

 

 

Providing a False Statement

Providing a False Statement is defined as knowingly providing a false statement to an administrator of NG-Gaming.

 

Punishments

OOC Prison up to 2 hours

Fine of Total Wealth up to 20%

One Month Ban

 

Offenses Against Server

Real-World Trading

Real-World Trading is defined as, but not limited to exchanging OOC items for IC items/accounts, or vice versa.

- The exception to this rule is for multimedia services. IC items (excluding accounts) in exchange for multimedia services is permitted.

Item must be legitimate and posted within the designated NGG forum.

Six (6) Month Ban

Fine of Total Wealth 100%

 

 

Receiving Exploited Goods

Receiving Exploited Good is defined as, but not limited to knowingly possessing exploited goods and failing to report the matter to administration.

Punishments

Six (6) Month Ban

Fine of Total Wealth 100%

 

Exploiting

Exploiting is defined as, but not limited to the use of any method that allows you to gain an unfair advantage, circumvent punishments, or bypass the script.

Punishments

Six (6) Month Ban

Fine of Total Wealth 100%

 

Server Advertising

Server Advertising is defined as, but not limited to attempting to sway other players into playing on another community by way of providing names and/or connection details.

Punishments

Six (6) Month Ban from ALL NGG servers

Fine of Total Wealth 100%

 

Ban Evading

Evading is defined as, but not limited to attempting to circumvent any active account ban in any way.

Punishments

Ban (150% added on to length of ban)

Fine of Total Wealth 25%

 

Hacking

Hacking is defined as, but not limited to the use of any third party method which gives you an unfair advantage.

Punishments

First Offense: Six (6) Month Ban from ALL NGG servers

Second Ofense: Indefinite Ban

Fine of Total Wealth 90%

 

Failure to Report

Failure to Report is defined as failing to report a hacker, ban evader, or exploiter.

Punishments

Two (2) Month Ban

Fine of Total Wealth 20%

 

Money Farming

Money Farming is defined as, but not limited to any process that involves using more than one account and/or character to harvest money.

Punishments

Two (2) Month Ban

Fine of Total Wealth 20%

 

Malicious Activity

Malicious Activity is defined as, but not limited to any action (or suggestion/threat) that compromises the cybersecurity of a community member or community service (denial of service, doxing, malicious software/links, etc.).

Punishments

Permanent Ban

 

Command Abuse

Defined as, but not limited to, using commands or special abilities for abusive purposes.

ex. cops randomly ticketing cars, etc.

Punishments

1 hour prison

Removal of ability to use commands (faction kick)
